SCU vs. USC Computer Science and Engineering

I am considering Santa Clara University (SCU) and University of Southern California (USC) for a B.S. in computer science and engineering. I am wondering which school is best for my major. SCU seems to have a smaller close-knit engineering community that is more focused on undergraduate education and is geographically closer to Silicon Valley (ideal for internships), but USC Viterbi appears to have a higher ranked engineering school with more research opportunities, national recognition, and industry connections.
SCU has an excellent reputation here in Silicon Valley. I’d say it’s a wash. You won’t have a problem getting a job here with a degree from either school, but logistically it would be easier if you went to Santa Clara.

If you want to work in Southern California, or do something with computers relating to games or the entertainment industry, go to USC.
