SDSU acceptance- failing major prep course

Hello all,
I recently received my acceptance letter from San Diego State, for the business administration w/emphasis in real estate program. This is my last semester at community college, I have maintained a 3.94 cumulative GPA and only received two B’s my entire college career (accelerated anatomy and econ). Anyways, the semester is half way over and I already have a low C in my calculus class which is a major prep for business transfers- so I have to complete it before transferring.

There is a great possibility that I won’t pass this class, which is a huge failure to me personally and now will potentially destroy my GPA and get my acceptance rescinded. I have called and spoken to admissions counselors and they keep telling me that there is a possibility I might still get accepted but also a possibility it will get rescinded.

As you know, I have to pay the 400 dollar non-refundable deposit soon and I am so afraid of losing all of that money and not getting accepted because this one class ruined everything for me. If anyone has any advice or experiences with this it would be greatly appreciated. I do not know what to do.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m in the same situation as you and I’m really nervous and don’t know what to expect… hopefully someone can give us some advice

If you don’t pass, see if you can retake it this summer and still retain your admission.

I was accepted to SDSU and was facing the same problem as you. I got a D in one of the golden four “critical thinking” and was rescinded one week after i sent them my final transcripts in Early june. I retook that class in the summer and appealed to SD. Now the middle of july i am still waiting for the decision of my appeal. :frowning:

What did you guys end up doing ? I am currently in this situation
