What year was this?
Look above at the statistics on page 8. Over 6000 students —QUALIFIED students, were wait listed last year. So it’s not that he’s not qualified, it’s too many qualified students.
Just checked now. D got denied admission for PRE - ART INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE.
In State - Non-local
CSU GPA 4.03
UW 3.8
The portal asks if she wishes to be on the waitlist.
Based on the latest CDS, the average GPA for SDSU is 3.81
Yeah, but the overall average is a meaning less number. Every major has their own range.
SDSU like all Cal states have to give priority to local in-service area applicants first, then non-local, OOS and International applicants make up the rest of the admits. GPA average means nothing as stated above since they admit by major. If they listed the GPA admit range by major, you will see a wide variation of GPA ranges.
Seems like there are no acceptances today, only waitlists. does this mean the acceptances are over and students should expects rejections from here on?
Son waitlisted
Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering
GPA about 3.8 and 4.16 CSU
Pretty bummed about this. There’s no way to wait until JUNE for a decision off the waitlist. Thankfully he has other options.
waitlisted for business admin
CSU 4.11 GPA
In state/non local
How did you see that?
How do you check the application for GPA and A-Gs? Thanks!
Waitlisted art history, 4.2 ish SDSU gpa. In state not local. Don’t get it, but whatever. Bad colors for my kid anyway ;-j
I logged back in to my Cal State application and it was under coursework.
When you log in the portal does it give you a heads up that it has been updated, or does it only show after you’ve clicked admission status?
Asking for those who’ve been waitlisted or accepted
I just logged back into mine, and I had to click Admission Status to see the admission notification.
I applied as a Psychology major and still haven’t heard back. Does this mean rejection?

have business majors heard back yet?
Usual decision timeline is acceptances, waitlist then denials. Just remember No Decision means No Decision. This year the decisions have been trickling out vs waves so there could be more waitlist decisions still to be posted.
