Hey whatsup, I'm from Saint Louis Missouri and I've been admitted for this fall at SDSU and I would like to know what is the best on campus housing or dormitory to live in. As far as personality goes, I'm very outgoing and love to meet new people.

Also, I workout daily and need my study time just like the rest of us

Best dorms are Chapultepec, Cuicacalli Suites and University Towers. They are high rises with suites and semi-private bathrooms. University Towers used to be a privately run dorm named El Conquistador. It is a bit farther from campus than the others, but very nice.

The older red brick dorms Maya, Olmeca are spartan. They are 3 story walk-ups with 1 large bathroom on each floor. Good location, however.

UCLA Band Mom is absolutely right (and thank you for reminding me about El Conq! I had forgotten the old name, which is what it was called during my years there.) Those three dorms are amazing. If you like to workout, Chapultepec is located just around the corner from the Aztec Rec Center as well as Viejas Arena and Peterson Gym. Maya/Olmeca now house 6 residential learning communities that are academically focused. Basically, each dorm has its own type of personality. The SDSU website has an excellent Housing section, which will give you lots of specifics. You might also want to contact the Housing office as they truly know their dorm communities and can give you detailed information. Lastly, you might want to check out the campus map to see where each dorm is located. Some students prefer the location of the dorms on one side of campus as opposed to the other.

Hi, I’m a student form the Netherlands and going to attend SDSU for one semester fall 2013. I’m looking at the housing opportunities and decided to apply for on-campus apartments. I can chose between Fraternity row, Piedra del *** and the Sanctuary Apartments. They provide floor plans and pictures but that doesn’t really help. Can someone provide me with information about these apartments? Like is it noisy at night when you live in the fratrow apartments?
