SDSU Class of 2022 Applicant Thread

@gracedwards4 : The link I gave you should state deadlines for those scholarships listed. Many may only be open to current students so you need to research which ones are available for in-coming Freshman.

@Gumbymom do you know when they announce who will receive those scholarships? I already applied to the ones available for me.

I applied for nursing… hoping I will be included in the next wave

@gracedwards4: Since the FA office is not part of admissions, it will vary.

According to the Scholarship website::

Check your status:
Your status will be posted to your AidLink account. We cannot predict how long it may take the scholarship committee to act, so check your AidLink account frequently for the status of your application(s).

Ideally, you would want to hear prior to making a decision unless you have already enrolled but some applicants many not hear until past the SIR date of May 1.

@Gumbymom ok thank you so much!!

Can any students / parents of students give any insight as to when the webers honors acceptances are released?

@cocoonutty: Last year the Honor’s college decisions were released Mid-February (15-16th).

@cocoonutty I was just about to post the same thing as @Gumbymom did, except I remember reading somewhere on the Webers website or on the application that if you applied by January 15th, you would hear back by the end of February. It seems like Mid-February would be plausible as well since previous years were notified then! I was accepted to SDSU in December and I am anxiously waiting for a decision from Webers as well.

@Gumbymom @ugradbiz Thank you! Do you know if they send out rejection emails as well?

@cocoonutty I am unsure but I think they do. But that would be something a pro like @Gumbymom would know about!

Some people are starting to hear back from CSUs at my school. Do CSU decisions typically come out at the same time?

@Cat420: No, each CSU has their own schedule for releasing their decision results. Most start rolling out this month through the end of March

anyone know when the next rolling applications will be released?

Is it typically a bad sign if you don’t hear back for a while? like until march?

@Mikeymike99 @Cat420 only out of state and honors applicants have heard back (they heard in december) the normal release should be when they say on the portal so early march

@name121212 @Mikeymike99 @Cat420
Some CA students with high EI numbers have been accepted in December. In past years other applicants get their results mid Feb - mid March.

Hoping honors acceptances are released tomorrow!

One of the admissions board members told me I should be excepting an admissions decision anytime from now to early March.

I was told yesterday at the prospective students office that we should expect admissions decisions at the end of march due to the increase in applications this year

Isn’t the open house on March 17th? I feel like they really should have planned for later decision releases
