SDSU Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

They send it out in waves so I think you still have a chance. I am still waiting too. I think they will be out this week or by the 15th because that’s basically mid-march and that is when scholarship applications open up, especially for newly admitted students. It just makes sense to me to think of it that way idk

I’m curious if any local SD have heard back from Nursing? The few I’ve heard from are No Cal area. Just curious. And maybe it means nothing.

Why is everyone on this forum asking about nursing

Well it is arguably the one of (if not the) hardest major to enter at SDSU with only 5% acceptance rate.

My daughter is local and has not heard back yet. Her friend who goes to the same high school, same exact stats got an email this morning and she was accepted. Daughter contacted AO during virtual office hours and they didn’t really know anything. They said she should hear something in the next week. This is so frustrating!

Do you mind sharing your daughter’s stats?

Because it’s the only major that has come out besides the decisions in December and the most impacted major at SDSU.

Oh dang didn’t know it was that low. Is it the most applied for major at SDSU?

She has a 4.74 W, 4.0 UW, not sure what CSU GPA is.

She is ranked 4th(she is tied with her friend) in her class out of 500+ students.

She has taken almost all honors, AP, and IB classes.

Here are the most applied majors from 2020 for SDSU:

applicants by major

7294- Biology
5828- Nursing
4319- Undeclared
4197- Psychology

VERY impressive stats. Good luck to your daughter. Sounds like she has a very good chance. I know the wait is agonizing.
Curious what area you guys live in?

I just checked my portal and got accepted! I auditioned for the musical theatre program, does anyone know if that means I got into the program? Or could it just be general pre-theatre performance?

@jcortes: Her CSU GPA would probably be 4.4 which is the maximum capped weighted CSU GPA with an UW of 4.0.

My daughter finally got the acceptance email (for nursing). She saw that she was accepted in her portal Monday but it took some time to get the welcome e-mail. I know first hand how hard all this waiting is, sending you all so many good vibes!
