I'm a pretty average student but I REALLY want to go and I REALLY don't think that I'm going to get accepted

In order to make a judgement, we're going to need a GPA in some sort of numerical form as well as your SAT1 scores since CSUs don't force SAT2s. But by looking at your overall grades, with a decent SAT1 score 1600+ you should definately get into SDSU for their non-business majors.

Okay for SDSU.....you take your CSU gpa, which is grades 10-11.

I think yours is around 2.7

2.7 * 800 = 2160 pts. towards admission

Then you add your sat (math and verbal only)....to that.

Last year if you had over 4010, you were guaranteed admission.

If you are in the San Diego area you are guaranteed admission.....If not the school will be a slight reach to reach for you.....but I don't know your sat 1 score to tell you.

my GPA is 2.9 and my SAT scores are

Math 530

Verbal 560

Wait I lied lol that was my Writing and Verbal

Math 510
Verbal 530

4010

About this 4010, I know you were guranteed with a 4010 last year, and it wil probably be the same give or take some this year, but does anyone know people who have gotten in with lower than a 4010, and if so, how much lower?

I went for a tour in August. The admit person told me the lowest was a little over 3700. The high was over 4100. It does change every year. Chico was 3400 last year and this year its 2900 (no longer impacted).

okie dokie thanks

yeah you're in for SDSU. As long as you have over 3.0 and prlly sats in mid 16-1700's you should be okay! :D

okie dokie...well it says on the website that if you have over a 3.0 GPA that SAT scores don't matter...but im thinking differently

LOL. I'd say to be a "for sure" thing, you need a 3.5 GPA and a 1200 SAT score. Things are getting tough.

yeah thats what I heard which is why im kinda freaking out about it if I don't get in im going to go to a JC and then see about switching over later... we'll see what happens
