SDSU Rescission?

I have been accepted to SDSU for the Fall 2017 term, but unfortunately, my current grades have made me qualified for rescission. I have multiple F’s that I feel are possible to turn into D’s, but not likely. However, these grades are NOT due to senioritis. I have had to deal with extreme familial issues this entire semester, and I have neglected my grades to help my suicidal brother. I want to call the admissions office to explain what has happened before they see my grades themselves so I can explain myself. My question is will it be worth it to do this, or should I just plan on going straight to a CC?

Thanks

Call the admissions office and ask them. Typically, they would rescind you if your admission was conditional on grades. They would be the only ones who could answer your question. Make sure your high school counselor knows your situation so that he/she can back you up.

I agree with @“aunt bea” to call admissions, since you do have extenuating circumstances concerning your grades. Best of luck.
