Hello, I received a D in my pre-calc class the first semester of my senior year. After getting my SDSU acceptance, I explained to them my circumstance – no, it was definitely not “senoritis”, it was a multitude of family issues: getting evicted from our apartment, financial troubles, and the fact that I had work daily and would take the bus home each night. It really took a hold on me and impacted my emotions severely. I have never in my entire life received a D which is why I am still in shock. My grades:
0- A - Public speaking
1- B - AP Gov
2- A - Drama
3- B - English (idk how I got a B, sighhh)
4- C+ - Physics
5- B - AP Psych
6- D - Pre calc
I called them multiple times, and have continuously informed them. What do you guys think will happen?
Is the D your final grade for the year? What has admissions stated since you have been in contact? Did they say you have to get it up to a C or you will be rescinded or are they willing to let you retake during the summer??
The D is my final grade for first semester, however, I switched into a statistics class and I am determined to get an A, at the worst a B+. They have not told me much, other than that my acceptance may be at risk, but they told me they will add my email (where I explained my circumstance) to my application. They did not mention making it up, I do not think that is an option.
There is nothing anyone on this board can help you with here. You’ve contacted the college and taken some steps to make things better. Keep SDSU apprised of what you’re doing and stay focused. Good luck.
