Seattle U vs Emory

So I was accepted to Seattle University and Emory's Oxford College (guaranteed transfer to Atlanta campus after two years). I'm interested in International Business and Chinese. If I go to Emory and I don't get into their B-School, then I will major in Economics and minor in Chinese Studies. At Seattle U I was offered a scholarship and the only debt I would be in would be from unsubsidized Stafford Loans (a little more than $20000). Emory only offered me loans because my EFC is way higher than it should be (my mom sent Emory a letter explaining our special circumstances, and it seemed to work for Seattle). If I went to Emory I would be about $75000 in debt (counting plane tickets, differing costs of years at Oxford campus and Atlanta Campus, but assuming I get 0 aid). My well off Grandmother said that she would take out a loan to make up the difference, but she's already giving me $40000 so I don't know if she will follow through with her offer (I guess I should have a talk with her about it). Also, my mom applied for a job but she won't hear back for months. Where do you guys suggest I go?

Emory will open more doors. Consider it a worthy investment.

bump .

If Grandma can hook you up, go to Emory. There is no comparison between the schools, Emory is a top 20 school nationally and Seattle simply is nowhere near that.

I feel bad for bumping this, but I do want as many opinions as I can get

$75k at 8% with a 1% origination fee (if you can find it) over 10 years will require a repayment of $919 a month, starting the month you get out of school. At 10% of your income, you will need to average an income of $110,000/year for your first ten years after graduation.

To my way of thinking, Emory is a non-starter.

Seattle U. has improved significantly of late, especially in the business school. No, it is not nearly as good as Emory’s. But if your hope is to do busines in Asia (hence the Chinese studies) you will have far better contacts and internships in Seattle than you will in Georgia.
