I applied to U of T with 2 choices, Life Sciences being my first and Engineering my second. Do I need to send all of my required documents to my second choice and pay the engineering fee as well? Or do I wait until I receive a decision from my first choice?

i wonder why no one uses this forum anymore... it used to be so intense!

My DS also applied to Life Science. I didn't know that you could apply to more that one choice. Has U of T sent out any acceptances yet?

I don't know the answer to the question about applying to two separate programs. As for acceptances, my D who is currently in her third year at U of T, received her acceptance letter during the first week of March in the year she applied. Most acceptances, though, come out later in the spring, the bulk during May. Best of luck to you! U of T is a great school.

Isn't it too late if the acceptances come out in May? Most of the universities I applied to want me to reply(accept offer or not) before May 1.

The Canadian system is different than that in the U.S. so, generally, yes, it could pose a problem if you've applied to schools in both countries. Many kids, as I've said, though, hear before that.

I just found out that I got an offer from U of T!
So that worry is gone, I'll just wait for the US unis to apply and then decide.

heartless, is UofT your top choice?

uhm not exactly. I do like UofT but I think I'm going to US if I get any offers from there.

so has anyone heard back yet??

yea, I sent everything end of february and it took them less than a week to give me a decision.

Though I called them and they said I would have to wait till May, that's obviously not true. =)

it's best to call and ask.
