Second part to counselor recommendation - YPS?

I just found the second part to the counselor recommendation (common app secondary school report) on Harvard's website. Pretty scary, considering it wasn't mentioned anywhere on the common app.

Does Yale, Princeton, or Stanford have any ninja recommendation supplements I should know about? I was hoping you guys could give me a quick answer :)

Wow, I just noticed that too. Scary :O

Are we supposed to print the second part (Pages 3 and 4 of the PDF) of the counselor recommendation out and ask our counselor’s to mail it? My counselor already filled out the first part online.

Curious about this as well (both Luminouzz’s question and Jersey13’s question).

Also, Jersey13 - congrats on your 2500th post!

I already sent my stuff in, but did not send in the part 2 yet. The online thing says my whole application is complete already, so I’m not sure if I should send in the 2nd part.

^I used the search function a while ago and found this same topic from 1-2 years ago. Apparently, the second part of the counselor recommendation is required.

Does anyone know if Yale, Princeton, or Stanford also have supplements for recommendations?

Whoa whoa whoa… I did not know about this.

Yeah, it’s pretty scary. Now we need to check whether Yale, Princeton, and Stanford also have ninja supplements.

Is there a way for this second part to be submitted online, or must it be mailed in?

I’m pretty sure it needs to be mailed in.

I just looked at it, and it seems pretty pointless too. This is annoying

I know Yale does not. Princeton does not either

^Thanks for the response.

Gave Harvard admissions office a call this am. They confirmed that Part II is not included in the Common App., is nevertheless required and must be completed and mailed in by the counselor.

can someone give me the link to it so I can print it out? I cant find it for some reason lol.

Please pm it if possible.

Here’s the link:

Hope it works. Pages 3-4 is the part that is not on the Common App.

Thanks. 10 char

Do any other Ivies or top schools have supplements that are not found on the common app?

I feel like I should read websites more carefully now, even if the schools are using the common app. Or is this unique to Harvard?

wait WHAT? We have to get our counselor to fill this out separately and then submit it?

1) I wouldn’t have ever known about this were it not for CC. Is this just a way Harvard rejects likes 50% of the applicants right off the bat–like, “oh, she didn’t read the entirety of the website–reject pile!” I can’t imagine everyone knows about this…

^I may have overlooked this if it wasn’t for CC, but I don’t think they reject that many applicants because of this.
