Second Semester Senior Schedule

Hi guys!

Second semester senior here. I applied to a few Ivies as well as Stanford, CMU, and a couple other schools for RD. My current schedule is as follows:

AP Stats

AP Spanish Lang

AP Physics C

AP Econ

Discrete Mathematics (DE)

English Literature (Regular)

Engineering 4 (Regular)

Wanted to know if switching out of Discrete Math into an easier class offered at my high school (something like mythology or CAD) for this semester would look bad on my mid-year report, or if I’m just being paranoid. I really don’t want to drive to the local university so often. If it helps, I took all the same courses (Linear Algebra DE instead of Discrete) first semester and got all A’s. Thanks!

If you put discrete math on the list of your intended classes on your applications, you will need to let each college know of the change in schedule.

Agree …you would need to notify every college you applied to and every college you have been accepted to if you change your schedule.

If your final schedule doesn’t match what is on your application a college would have the right to rescind an acceptance.

IMO it would be easier to keep your planned schedule if you can handle the work.
