Second tier Poly Sci schools?

<p>I don't have the grades to get into a Ivy, I don't think, but what are some good poly sci schools that are second-tier?</p>

<p>3.5 UW GPA
3.9 W GPA
178 PSAT, expected 2000+ SAT
Pretty good EC's and very good reccomendations</p>

<p>Looking for a large school over a smaller school. Middle class, so money isn't a huge concern, within reason.</p>

<p>I've heard Miami has a pretty good program, but not sure just how good it is. </p>

<p>I'm interested in hearing this too.</p>

<p>American, Ohio State and Michigan State all have good programs.</p>

<p>American is a second tier school, but there poli sci is one of the best! Other notable poli sci programs you could attend might be are URochester, NYU, UWashington, Bowdoin, Rutgers...</p>

<p>Thanks. I'm interested in both American and NYU. I worry American doesn't have the name recognition needed in the industry sometimes if you want to make it big. What do others think? Am I being dumb? It's just, when I think politics, my mind doesn't go to American U.</p>
