I am going to Baylor University this fall. I have decided to major in Social Work because I love it. I know the pay isn't well, currently I am in AP Physics and am doing well even though it isn't something I love. The school suggested taking Physics as a secondary major, I wouldn't have the degree but the courses would be on my transcript. Is it worth it to have physics as a back up plan?

Is a secondary major the same as a minor? If so, I do not believe it will provide many benefits to you as far as employment prospects later down the line. I would inquire about how many courses constitute the secondary major. I would also inquire about which courses are required.

If you don’t love it, don’t take a concentration of courses in the area.
