Will I get in?
I know people that have gotten denied with a 3.2 GPA, which is highly unlikely according to OSU Admissions

People got denied with 3.2? o.o;;

Who? How?

Mine is 3.22 (or thereabouts). It’s been 5 weeks and I’ve yet to receive a response.

This is just what I’ve heard and I just had a friend not get in with a cumulative of a 3.0.

Darn. Was there just an “Evaluation” tag on his application status site, or did it say “Rejected”?

It’s been on “Evaluation” for ages and I don’t know if I’ve been rejected. :

You will both be accepted. I transferred to Ohio State from Miami U of Ohio with a 2.99 gpa. That is much lower than I wished it to be, but due to depression I had a very bad effort my second semester. I talked to admissions and they assured me that anything above a 2.5 generally gets accepted as a transfer.

they actually told you that anything above a 2.5 is admitted?

When did you speak to Admissions, Provo? At the time of your application, or for this time round?

I will be transfering after two years of community college. I will have 60 credits and maybe my associate degree I think I can pull off a 2.99 or maybe a 3.0 it will be hard. But I am out of state? So my chances of being accepted are good? I really want to get in after next year

A friend of mine transferred from Miami of Ohio to Ohio State (in 2005) with a 2.1 gpa.
