I'm currently a student in a conservatory program with a 3.6 GPA and I'm looking to leave the program. The lifestyle that I've seen from my friends that have graduated has really hit home and I just don't think that's viable for me. That being said, I now am interested in transferring and am trying to figure out the best way to go about it. First I know I need to figure out what I'll major in, although right now I have fairly confidently narrowed it down to mathematics, finance, or business. The good news is that I do have some academic classes, such as Calculus I, American History 1945-present, Lit/Phil: Ascent of Ideas, and similar classes. I'm hoping to enter a university as either a junior or a sophomore with some extra credits. Does anyone know of schools that are particularly welcoming of transfer students and would potentially give out scholarships? I'm not bound to any particular part of the country, as I am willing to and capable of moving just about anywhere (I think Alaska is the only state I would rule out).
