Selecting the right college for me, I need suggestions please

I enjoy a suburban feel with maybe a city nearby. I definitely enjoy a lifestyle that is like a community. I want a place that has all 4 seasons and I'm not afraid of the cold :D. I want to be able to make friends and be social while still going to a great academic university.

I'm not really sure of universities that would fit my stats, could you give me some suggestions (assuming I increase my ACT score to the 30's)?

PS: Thanks CC peeps

A few more questions:

1) Size (LAC=less than 3,500 students and no grad students, Mid-sized=4,000-10,000, Large=greater than 10,000)
2) Financial considerations: Do you need aid? What can you afford?
3) Any geo preferences?
4) Any deal breakers? (single sex, religious orientation)
5) Culture preferences: jock, prep, artsy, granola, etc…how liberal or conservative politically, etc…(this matters more for smaller schools)

Probably 15k + students

Yes I need aid, I am unsure how much I can afford right now.

Midwest or East Coast

Nope

I don’t really but I’m not looking for a LAC.
