Selective Liberal Arts Schools

I'm currently a Senior in High school. And I am interested in Middlebury College or similar liberal art institutions. I really liked St. Olaf, what are some schools with a similar character?

3.3 gpa - this is my main worry about acceptance into some colleges
3.8 weighted gpa
1650 SAT (I plan on taking it again)
770 Sat II U.S. History
4 AP U.S. History

Should I consider early decision? What are some colleges that might fit?

Colby, Bates, Holy Cross.

I strongly recommend applying to test-optional colleges. I don’t think your chances are very good for Middlebury, but you might have a chance at some other, less-selective liberal arts colleges. Your History score is good, and it might indicate a possibility of raising your other test scores, but your time is running out. Your scores are not competitive for most elite colleges that require test reports, unfortunately, and probably won’t increase enough to alter the scenario substantially before application deadlines arise. If you want to stay in the northeast, there are a number of test-optional colleges to consider. Check out the fairtest.org website for a list.
