I submitted my EA app to MIT. I put my expected grades for my classes for 1st trimester senior year. However the actual grades were quite a bit worse than the expected grades I put. What do I do? Do I have to send in my 1st tri grades now to show them what they actually were?
Did you read the MIT Application Guide? Take a look.
@lookingforward
yes I did. Didn’t mention anything about current course grades…
Google it. It’s something applicants should know.
Note that the MIT Application Guide PDF that comes up on Google is from 2009 and is out of date in several areas compared to the hardcopy one that was mailed to people who had created a MyMIT account.
Sorry, but my point is that one should be looking for this info, not assuming. Nowhere does it say to use “expected” grades. And MIT (and every other top school) clearly asks for an updated transcript of official grades. It may be different for quarter, trimester, or semester systems, but of course it’s expected.
And then if something is unclear, ask of the right sources. Not an anon forum.
