Do I need to send an official score AP score report to colleges, or are most fine with just self-reporting? I am so sick of sending all of these expensive score reports...they add over $30 to every single application between ACT, SAT, and AP. Not to mention the app fees colleges already make you pay.

no, self report is completely sufficient. unless otherwise directed, you only need to send an official score report when you matriculate at a college so that they can give you course credits for the scores if possible. for that purpose, you can simply use the free reporting that comes with your senior year AP exams.
and yes, apps can become expensive, hence don’t apply to too many schools.
