Self reporting courses to university of Illinois at Urbana champaign

I am filling out my classes and grades in the uiuc application for freshman applicants. I repeated a freshman geometry and, while filling out the classes, it says that I should write my original grade and select repeated course and then fill it out again with the final grade. However, on my unofficial transcript it says "R" which means repeated and I don't remember my original grade's + or - mark. It says to write the grade exactly as it appears on my transcript, and it says R. So what should I put on the application when I fill out "grade/mark" for the first time I took geometry? Should I find out my original grade and use that, or should I put the mark that appears on my transcript which is an R? "R" also is not an option on the Illinois application.

Thanks

Why not ask your high school? If it is an Illinois high school, it has probably seen this situation before. In any case, it can also tell you the actual original grade.
