Self Reporting Scores

I know the Common Application has a section where we can self report scores but do schools want us to send official versions as well? I only ask because official reporting is quite costly and I can't afford the send them everywhere.

Colleges generally require that you have the testing agencies send SAT or ACT scores and failure to do so will result in your not being considered for admission. They do not require AP scores to be sent and self reporting those on the application is sufficient.

There are some colleges that will accept SAT or ACT scores that appear on your high school transcript rather than your having the testing agency send them. However, none of those colleges are higher ranks.

The testing agencies offer fee waivers if in fact your family income is low enough to qualify.
