Self-Study AP Music Theory

Hi, I am a high school freshman who wants to self-study AP music theory. I have been involved in piano for 10 years, and by the time the AP exam comes around, I will have completed Certificate of Merit Advanced Level. I was wondering how closely related the CM theory tests are to the AP music theory exams and whether it would be feasible for me to self-study for it. I have purchased the Barron’s AP Music Theory book, and I was wondering what books some of you guys would suggest. Thank you all.

Tonal Harmony is an exceptional textbook for AP Music Theory and beyond. If you want the bare bones, Barrons is probably all you will need to get a 4 or 5. The sight-singing and dictation should not be just learned out of a textbook, though. It takes practice.
