I want to go into the medical field and one year of physics is required. So I was going to do a self study for an AP exam. We have just a regular old physics class at my school but not AP. I was wondering, which physics test should I study for considering I want to go medical. I've heard the Physics C is the hardest haha but if I'll study up for it if that is the best test to take. Any help? Thanks

depends on what year you are
if your’e going to be a juniro and have no calc background then take B.

if you are/have taken calc then go ahead and try C.

ahhh ok thanks!
well, I’m a rising senior and I’ll be taking Calc AB during the year
so I should try C? haha

You’ll be taking Calc AB and want to concurrently self-study for Physics C?
I’ll warn you that its gonna be really really hard if you don’t set your mind to it.

I took both the Physics C exams (through the course) and Calc AB this May.
I think I did fairly fine but still found it challenging. Imo, its the concept application thats hard. I have to say however, this year’s Physics C tests had a TON more Calculus than any other previous Physics C test I’ve ever seen. Thats why a lot of people bombed it (especially the infamous #2 on Mechanics; I’m sure that +85% of the test-takers had no freaking clue what a small-angle approximation is).

If you’ve got a lot of time (i.e., not taking too many other AP’s apart from Calc AB and Physics C), go for it! And good luck! Of course, PR/Barron is recommended. :P

Don’t do it. The calculus needed for Physics C is not covered in AB, and the Calculus in physics C goes faster than what you actually learn.

You’ll hate life if you self Physics… Go to a local uni/cc and take it there.

^ true. I selfed Physics and got a 5 on E+M. I hate myself now.
