I'm thinking of Self-studying AP Psychology next year or the year after that (yes I'm a sophomore) and I was wondering if that's a good idea or not and whether Barron is better for my situation or if Princeton Review is.

I suggest that you study during your sophomore year so you won't have another thing added to your junior year which is already going to be busy. Barron's is definitely good. I haven't used PR, but everyone else that I've asked has said that Barron's was best and Barron's helped me a lot.

Yes, AP Psychology is a very self-studyable exam. The Barron's book has more than enough to thoroughly prepare you for this exam, even without a supplementary textbook.

Definitely do it, it's almost all vocab. :]

I agree with mrniceguy. If you know everything in Barron's thoroughly, you can sleep through half the test.

Me too! I plan on buying Barron's after everything the people have said here; in addition, I guess I might buy PR, since its practice exams resemble the actual ones a lot more than others.
