Self-Studying AP Psychology

I'm thinking about self-studying AP Psychology for my junior year. What books, online resources, etc. should I look into? Is the exam easy for those who have self-studied the course? What is some helpful advice you could give me in order to get a 5?

Thanks in advance!

It's very easy, and I'm sure you could do it. Get the Barron's review book, and use appsychology.com, and you're all set.

Thanks! Anyone else?

anyone can...i pretty much did myself. GOOD LUCK!

So is Psychology a popular choice for self study?

I second Barrons for self-studying. Read that and you'll be fine. Make sure you memorize all the definitions. Many people self-study psychology because it is easy and does not take much time to study.

I took Psych in school, but it was incredibly easy, and if I were to recommend any course for self-study, that would be it. The concepts are intuitive enough that grasping them without the aid of a teacher should be no problem, and for AP (my class was also IB SL, though the AP test was far easier) it is mostly memorization of terms.

Another thing you should know is not to get the Barron's book that comes with the CD. It costs more, but it isn't worth more than the book alone. The CD is, in fact, just the book on CD, with nothing added.

All right, thanks everyone!

I read Barron's at a bookstore the day before and I'd be shocked if I didn't get a five. That book is awesome.

Any Barron's version would be fine?

This year's edition will probably work for next year too, as will most of the older editions, but, with each new edition, something is improved, so I find that it's good to get the newest one.
