Self study APs in senior year

Im entering my senior year and just wondered of self studying for APs in your senior is useless. If I had self studied for it in junior year then the universities can see the results but in your senior year isnt it useless? Just wondering, because I'm considering of self studying Phys C and Stats.

Not totally useless because you’d still possibly get the college credit, but you wouldn’t get much admissions credit. OTOH, you might get both if you took the classes in a local college, dual-enrolled with highschool.

But, depending on where you are headed, there might not be any college credit. Neither of my kids went to schools where their APs gave them anything at all. My son did not even take his senior year exams. My daughter took only one, because she thought she would get placement at her college, but they changed that before she got there in the fall.
