Or rather, retaking the test. I took the AP Euro class and the test as a freshman and ended up with a very unsatisfactory score of 1. I had very poor study habits at the time and in my personal opinion, this class is too hard for most freshmen. Last year as a junior I took APUSH and scored a 5, and plan on taking both AP US and Comp Gov this year (hoping for at least 4’s). I’m planning on majoring in Government with a focus on International Relations (doubled with either Japanese or East Asian Studies), and my parents are pushing me to retake the AP Euro test for the credit since I’m going for a double major. My school accepts AP history credits of 4 or higher, but for no specific class, so if I scored well I could potentially cut down on a comparative class. I do like this idea, however, it’s already the end of January, and I didn’t keep my notes from freshman year, so I’d be cramming from the beginning (though hopefully it would start to come back to me…)
Does this sound like a good idea? I’ll be signing up for AP tests soon and would love some input!
