Self-study for SAT II?

Has anyone self-studied for an SAT subject test? And I mean from almost zero knowledge about a topic.. I'm considering doing it, but I don't know how it will be. It can't be much different than self-study APs, can it? I'm considering engineering and I'm applying to pretty competitive schools, but I don't know if it will hurt me considering that I have no physics background academically (IB program at my school doesn't allow me to take it). Has anyone self-studied the SAT physics test?

I’m studying sat physics! I did have a honors physics class last year, although the teacher didn’t make us memorize anything (formula sheet on every test) so that was pretty much a waste of time. I’ll be taking ap physics b next year, but I’m taking the subject test on the october date. I bought 3 different review books to teach myself:/ good luck!

I’m doing the same on Physics because I want to major in engineering as well. Good luck!!

Well it’s possible, but you’ve never taken any sort of physics class at all? It might be a bit difficult, but if you remain dedicated, you can probably pull it off. I’ve never taken the physics SAT, but I imagine it’s just as hard as th other sciences, and taking the bio SAT from scratch would be a nightmare ><; but good luck!
