Self-study for World and Art History

I will be self-studying for AP World and Art History during the summer, because my bright idea was that would going to go parallel, feeding upon each other, and my life would be easier.
Has anyone here studied them together, and how did it go?
And what are the good (review) books for them?

I heard that it’s better to study European History rather than World History if you want it to correspond with AP Art History, since most of the major cultural movements that reflect art originate in Europe. But nothing says you can’t do all three… haha.

Thanks.
Here goes my masterplan… Though I took Euro this year. I will have Eng. Lang. as my third subject, so it should be fun enough.

So, anyways, good review books? Supplementary reading?

Barrons for AP Art History or the Annotated Mona Lisa, I personally prefer Barrons and for World many find Barrons to be good but I have flipped through Kaplan and 5 Steps and those seem good as well. Which ever you chose as long as you study it well you should be set to get a 5. Good luck!

I like to stick with Princeton Review

I used Princeton Review for World, and I thought it provided thorough coverage of the material on the exam.
When studying, remember that APWH focuses on broad trends rather than specific names/dates/places. While it’s great (and necessary, really) to have such specifics as evidence in essays, the redesigned multiple choice are much more focused on whether the test-taker can draw a historical conclusion from material presented on the test rather than remember specific facts about the Safavids or any other society.
