Self study just one SAT II?? Which one... just one

I have no clue what to take. People are saying Bio is a hard test to get a high score on. All i want is a 760-800. Im not taking US history or Math IIc, because im taking those at the end of next year. I want to take this test in October. I want to study during the summer, and just finish it in october. People are saying Physics is an easy one to do well in if you know what you are doing, but others are saying bio is a joke. Math I, the curve is ridiculous, and im already taking Math II, world history maybe, but its only offered in december and im already taking US...

spanish will be too hard
lit, not even an option at this point
Chem, i may take this next year as well, but i want to have one under my belt before so there is less pressure

So basically its down to physics and bio.
Im good at basic math, and plugging stuff into equations. Im not a genius, just an average kid. What should i take if im aiming for >760? Bio or physics.
I took physics in 9th grade, but remember none of it. I have a teacher that will help me out if i have any questions though.
With bio, im taking it this year (10th grade), and im doing well in it, and she would be willing to help me out a bit too... what test do you recommend and why? Thanks

What bio are you taking this year? If it is honors, AP, then you should be fine for the SAT 2, if its regular... you might have to study harder.
Its not a bad test, but some questions can be very random and unless you really crack the books ALL summer, it will be very hard to get a 760-800. I am not sure how physics is, but I hear the curve is pretty good, while the bio curve is pretty bad...

I still think Bio would be the safer bet (just plain memorization)

Although if you are very good at math, get a physics book and hit it hard..

Really up to you

I was about 3-4 weeks into AP Bio and I read the entire Princeton Review book (at my relatives during thanksgiving... :p) and I got 780 on the Molecular test. Granted, the first few weeks of class were drilling cellular structure and function with Campbell's hellish tome, but you still have to fake your way through the first ~60 general questions that can have just about anything in them.

My course is an honors course. I do have my text book, barrons, and ill probably get PR and Kaplan. I guess ill read the books for like 20 mins each day... maybe ill do it longer but less frequently. Now that i look at it, the barrons book which ive got already, is really short, if thats really all the stuff on the test, plus a tiny bit more, this is almost gonna be a joke considering i know most of the stuff except the classification stuff, b/c i did that in 7th grade.

What do you mean like crack the books ALL summer... that kinda seems crazy, dont you think?

biology or maths

Self study, to me, indicates taking a test whose subject one hasn't learned in a while at school. I, as a junior, would probably self study world history (accelerated course taken in 9th). I just really like it.

I might also try out Korean. Via self study, I could improve upon it, bond with my parents, and feel comfortable about my grade.

A few mounths ago, I was in the very same situation as you, Kishin, and I finally chose biology. Since april I self study biology, in order to take the test in june, using Barron's and a little Sparknotes and it's not that hard, you know. I am also good at maths, but I don't think this is an argument for taking physics. Being good at maths has helped me to learn biology in a more logical way, it's a lot of new information, but it makes sense. I really don't think you could learn physics by yourself, personally I wouldn't. And because you are taking biology this year, the material you study at school will surely help you a lot. I also target a score above 760 and I'll let you know if I succeed. I hope this helps
