Self Study USH

Is it possible to self study USH over the summer and score 700+?

I'm not taking APUSH, but honors. The class isn't too great though, my teacher isn't very responsible.

Is three months enough time? What books are out there that will cover everything? Not just a refresher. What's the strategy for attacking this test? Read a textbook then review?

Thanks

I advise getting a test review book for APUSH, as the SAT Subject Test in U.S. History follows the same course of study. I made a 730 on the test after I completed APUSH with no test prep, so I think you could certainly do well. :)

Thanks.

I'm really just worried that 3 months won't be enough without ever taking APUSH.

If you study that book, it should be enough. The concepts of Honors and AP U.S. History are basically the same, but AP just goes into more detail.

Any suggestions on textbooks/materials i would need?

I want to approach the test as if I’m starting from scratch, so I would need more than refresher/review resources.

This might sound totally stupid but technically would it be possible, with the help of a list of all the topics featured within the AP book, to just independently research all the stuff on like wikipedia etc and learn it like that? Just curious.

Any reccomendations/tips?
