Self study ??!!? What ??

Hello College Confidential. I am a rising senior for the upcoming 2013-2014 year. I am enrolled in six AP classes, and I plan on taking the SAT's again as well as both history subject tests. For three classes (Calc AB,Macro and Micro Econ, Euro) I have decided to prep ahead of time, so I bought prep books for them. I also bought a prep book for both subject tests and I've already had the College Board blue book. My only problem is HOW TO SELF STUDY? How do you guys do it? What are some tips for self studying for classes/tests? Do books like Barron's and REA really prepare you for the class material? Once again, I would like to know your tips and what exactly you think the most efficient way is for self studying. Thank you.

(Btw, I got the REA Crash Course for Euro, Barron's for Econ, and Princeton Review for Calc and the Subject Tests)

Set up a schedule and stick to it.

For example, read one chapter every day was my mantra.

Also, if you find that you are dreading the reading, you shouldn’t self-study. You should only self study if you are genuinely interested in the subject.

How do you plan on balancing all your schoolwork, SATs, AND self studying? The only reason a senior should be self studying is to get out of college classes.

Oh I guess I didnt clear this up, Im only self studying over the summer to prep for classes. When school starts the only outside of school studying I would be doing is for SAT’s which is normal. But thanks for the feedback :D
