Self Studying and AP Classes

Hey guys!

I just heard from some friends that they were going to "self study" a subject or two that has an AP exam, and then take the exam (without ever taking the class itself). First of all, is this buying a proper text book and then self-studying the class a good way to test out of some college classes. Additionally, the only AP classes at our school include AP US, AP Euro, AP Bio, AP Chem, AP and BC Calc, and AP English. I will prbly major in bio in college...what "AP subject(s) that aren't covered at my school would be helpful for me to "self study" and possibly test out of then.

Thanks,
Robbie

I think that just buying a review book will be sufficient for some of the "easier" APs like Human Geo and Env Science, but if you can get a textbook... that's great.

AP Bio is kind of difficult to study for, so best of luck with that.

Thx...sry if I wasnt very clear...the AP classes I listed were the ones that I was actually taking through my school. Would Physics B b something that I could independently study. Also, if I did do well on the AP exam, would it get me out of phyics in most colleges?
