Hi im going to be a junior next year, and as ap courses arent offered at my school, i am planning on self-studying for a few. Which ones are easy? Im also good at memorization. I aleady did ap bio this year. I was thinking about ap chemistry, ap psychology, ap physics B and ap calcaulus ab...is that too much? Any advice? Can calculus amd chemsitry be self-studied?? Thanks!

From personal experience, AP Psychology and AP Stats are just lots of memorization. I know a lot of people at my school self-study Macro/Microeconomics because our school doesn’t offer it. For tests like AP Gov, they’re probably just lots of memorizing too but I never saw any point in taking those because I’m not majoring or even interested in it, and I wouldn’t get any useful credit from it (AKA it’s a waste of money for me.)

If you did well in pre-calc, you can probably self-study Calc AB; just do a lot of practice problems.

For chemistry, taking an actual class is definitely better than just studying it. You need the laboratory experience and actually see how things work in real life. Have you taken Honors Chemistry or whatever chemistry class(es) your school does offer?

Start early, whatever you do. I didn’t start studying Comp Gov until December and with ADHD and procrastination I didn’t finish the textbook until the Friday before the exam. I feel confident though I at least got a 4.

Yeah, starting early is the MOST important thing (don’t be like me and start 2 weeks before), especially if you’re taking multiple exams. If you’re good at math, Calc AB will be fine. Psychology also has a reputation of being really easy (from friends, I’ve never taken it). Physics B and Chem might be a bit tricky, especially if you don’t have much experience with them.

AP Environmental Science is another really easy one.
