Self-Studying AP Human Geography: Tips?

I am a rising high school freshman, and I plan to self-study for AP HG exam, and possibly AP macro.
After reading through some discussions, it seemed like most agrees that Barron’s and PR are the best books for APHG.
I would like for those of you who have self-studied APHG to share some tips on how to prepare for the exam, since, obviously, I have no prior experience self-studying for an AP exam.
I know I will have to read through the books two or three times and take the practice tests, but how long would it take me to be fully prepared for the exam? How much of my time should I devote to this? Would 30 minutes per day, starting December, be enough? Do you have special study method for reading textbooks?
I am a straight-A student taking all of the most advanced classes offered to freshmen (AP Euro, Advanced Algebra II, etc.).
Thank you in advance!

I took it this year! Really know the vocabulary and models well, like the von Thunen model or something like that I can’t remember lol. My teacher didn’t teach us anything and I passed the class with the help of my friends so you can assume I self studied. I studied 4 days before the exam using the Barron’s book and got a 2 mainly because I wasn’t really focusing on memorizing the information. So make sure you actually know what your reading I was just skimming through the book because I hated the subject so bad lol. At least one of the FRQs will most likely be about a model or theory so know those really well. I also thought the practice tests were more harder than the actual exam in my opinion.

Thank you for your response, fututeuclabruin! :D
