Self studying AP World and AP Euro at the same time

Is is possible to get a 4 or 5 on both exams if I self study?
And do both subjects overlap (will some of the same information be on both tests)?

Yes. I self-studied both last year and did fine (albeit I had a decent amount of background knowledge on both topics).

Some studying and some cramming got me a 4 on world and 5 on euro.

what textbooks and/or study books did you use?
and how much time did you study?
and when you mean background, where was it from?

sorry for all the questions but i’m just really curious

Used Modern European History for Euro; used Barron’s for world. I’d suggest an REA Crash Course for Euro though; like a 200 page outline on ONLY the BARE ESSENTIALS you’ll need to know. Its tips were life safers (i.e. like 40 pages on WWII in MEH, while REA explained they seldom ask anything at all on WWII, so no need to study that… turned out true).

Sounds dumb, but I often youtubed random documentaries on history and watched them. Watching a lot of random History Channel shows too. Little tidbits about, for instance, the surprisingly modern indoor plumbing of like the ancient Indian civilization says a lot about the culture and its might. Understandings like that help.

Spent a good deal of time on Euro (maybe like a monthish of routine hour-two hour study a day). Crammed obsessively for Euro though. World, on the other hand, I took much more lightly; ended up not even finishing Barron’s.

I took a world history honor’s course in freshman year. But on top of that, I often read random books that had historical references or watched the History channel and stuff early on even in elementary school.
Like, to sum it up, I’m one of the leading players on my school’s academic trivia team (not to sound cocky, but seriously, watch GOOD TV, it helps!).

would you mind me asking what you scored? :D

^Check post #2

oops, haha! thanks!
i think i might do this, but will start in the summer.
