On college apps, colleges (e.g. stanford) ask you whether your school runs on semester schedule or trimester schedule. But my school only offers year-long courses with three terms (i.e. students take the same courses throughout the year). Therefore, I can’t put trimester. Below the boxes that Stanford has on the app, I am thinking about writing a one-sentence note that explains my school’s system. Is that appropriate? Would they frown upon my note because I wrote something out of place?
