<p>tralala, that’s what I’m hoping for right now… because otherwise, it would either mean 1. they didn’t even receive my application because it got lost on the way or something OR 2. they haven’t read my app yet…or… 3. I just haven’t gotten my emory email yet…</p>

I looked at last years semifinalists and there were many people who didn’t move to the finalist round but ended up going to places like Harvard, Princeton, Penn and many more incredible schools. Being chosen as a semifinalist is an incredible honor so no matter what happens, know that you have done incredible things and you will go on to be successful and prosperous in life… Just a few more days…</p>

<p>I did get the letter at 9:31am. Hoping to hear the results soon. After hurricane Katrina, my parents just do not have the money to send me away to college. I am crossing my fingers.</p>

<p>it probably means nothing because all semifinalists get one but because of my nervousness and paranoia, i am probably trying to put meaning into each disparity I see between our emails… the time probably means nothing but I hope it means I will get to know earlier so this nerve-wrecking waiting game can finally end… And I’m sure you have an amazing story, crichard and that you’ll go far regardless of this scholarship. All the amazing semi-finalists will…</p>

<p>Ok, so I still haven’t gotten the Emory email, but it just occurred to me: with the Finalist results being released in only a day or two, would Coca Cola feel the need to send the Emory email to semifinalists who have already been named finalists, especially if being a finalist already MEANS that you could potentially win $20,000 for ANY college? The beginning of that email seems to suggest that they HAVE chosen finalists already (maybe not all of them, but at least some). At this point, I’m just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that not getting the Emory email was a good thing… (not a sign that my application got lost or something)</p>

<p>If that’s true that an Emory email means that it’s the end of the road then at least the blow has been softened for the rejection letter.</p>
<p>So there’s at least three people on CC who never got an Emory email, I think…</p>
<p>This reminds me of American Idol on group day when the judges go around to all the different rooms and tell the entire group if they made it or didn’t make it. I’m hoping this is like one of those times like when the judges tell one group they made it, so the other room assumes they didn’t, but then they go to the second room and they made it too!</p>

<p>There isn’t a correlation between getting the email and becoming a finalist. Literally no one has any clue what anything means so everyone should stop worrying so much, and just wait patiently :)</p>

<p>if the emory emails were really what determined if you were a finalists or not why in the world are the waiting to send out finalists emails when in reality they were suppose to send finalists emails on the tenth? it was probably just a random e-mail…</p>

<p>I dont think they do some secret code to reveal the finalists. When they have finalized their list, they’ll release it out. They wouldn’t wait a few days just to let the tension build (and to make everyone decipher the true meanings behind their emails). Probably just email problems.</p>

<p>On the twitter account it said Thursday/Friday was a healthy estimate as to when finalist results will be released.</p>
<p>Thursday is tomorrow…</p>
<p>Which means in less than 24 hours, we could know.</p>
