Send 2060 SAT or 33 ACT?

SAT: 2060, CR:630 M:740 W:690
ACT: 33 E:30 M:33 R:35 S:34 E/W:Not scored yet

What do you guys think...which one should I send (or both)?

I'm applying to UCs and CSUs only (money :/)

33 .

Normally I would suggest to send them both, but your ACT score is better than your SAT so send that instead.

A 33 on ACT would equate to around a 2190 on the SAT. Whereas a 2060 SAT would be ~31

Sweet thanks guys. I gather that having such a large difference between the scores would mean to choose one over the other (as opposed to having more similar scores and sending both)

33 ACT hands down :P

I say send both. I’m in the northeast, where the SAT is highly preferred. I understand that the ACT is the preferred method in the West. The scores are compatible and the SAT is viewed as the tougher test.

I don’t think that sending both will screen you out of any schools since the difference is negligible. But it might make a difference with scholarships that more greatly value the SAT.

Good job. Good luck.

which uc’s are you applying to?

@Polomolok: UCB, UCSB, and UCSC

33 is significantly better

Hey! I would definitely send the ACT score.

I don’t know how it is for the ACT (you should probably check), but I know if you send your SAT score to one UC campus they’ll be able to share them with all the other UCs you apply to, so you don’t need to send them to Cal AND SB AND SC, you can just choose one. I think the same thing applies to the CSU.

Anyway, if you already knew this sorry for being repetitive, but I just found that out recently and it was a pretty exciting thing for me because those SAT score reports can get pricey!
