Send just ACT or both ACT/SAT?

I got my ACT and SAT scores back earlier this year and they don’t really “match”.

My ACT composite is a 34 but my SAT composite is only 2140. Therefore, would it be a good idea to send both scores in to the U of M or would I be better off just sending my ACT score in?

@stormypanda a 34 ACT is high enough for pretty much any college at UMN. What are your subscores, and what is your GPA/class rank?

@Mamelot So it would be alright if I just sent in my ACT and left SAT out?

My subscores are 35 (M), 36 (W), 32 (S) and 33 (CR). GPA (unweighted) is 3.90 and GPA (weighted) is 4.30. My school doesn’t do official class rank but I’ve asked my dean about where I’d be if we did have class rank (11/401).

@stormypanda you are fine by just submitting your ACT. No need to worry about submitting both. And your stats are strong enough for the most selective of the colleges. What are you planning to major in?

Update: here is the admission profile:

@Mamelot Ahh that makes me a feel a lot better; I was a bit worried about how unbalanced the scores looked. Thank you for your help! And I am planning to apply to CLA because I would like to go into Statistics.

@stormypanda for CLA you’d probably qualify for honors:
