Send my own recommendation letter!

Okay, I'm not going to write my own recommendation letter but my teachers telling me to bring my laptop to school, so they will sit with me and fill up the common app form. My teachers are a bit old they are not familiar with the using computer. Will it be a problem if my common app and recommendation letters gets submitted from the same IP address? Will colleges think that I'm cheating?

I even have to make them a email address so that I can send them the link. I'm so confused! Will it be okay to do that?

Why do you keep posting on separate threads? Apparently the average CC poster knows more about computers than you do, everyone can see all your past posts.

It is unethical, avoid it if you can.

If you cannot avoid it, do it.

But don’t be shocked if you get caught and you get kicked out of the college.

And thank your lucky stars if you are not caught.

You should not be confused if it is your only choice. But it seems an extremely unlikely circumstance.

Why can’t a secretary help them? Is your school so small and so antiquated that there are not clerical staff with computers?

What do you want us to say, that it is a normal everyday situation and go right ahead? It’s not, so think about it and try to avoid it.

I work at a college, and people have been thrown out for less.

If there’s truly no way to get out of this situation, just use a proxy and you’ll be fine. Alternatively, ask if you could use a school computer or borrow your friend’s laptop.
