Send Subject Test 740 in Math 2 and 720 in Math 1 ?

Hi,

I took the SAT Subject Test in November and I got a 740 in Maths 2 and a 720 in Math 1 (I also took the French with listening test and got 800 but I am a French native speaker so there’s not really an added value to that test). I took World H in June and got a 760 so I already submitted a subject test.
Should I send submit those scores to UChicago, considering I am applying ED, that I am international, and that I got a 780 on the Math section in the regular SAT?
I know SAT IIs are optional at UChicago, but y’all probably know that “optional” never really means what it is supposed to mean.
I have Economics and Political Science as my intended major.

THANKS!

I would send the Math Level 2 score. It’s in the mid-700 range, which is what U Chicago would like to see. I know the percentile is lower than Math Level 1, but that’s because the level 2 test is full of math and engineering kids applying to MIT and Caltech. Your level 2 score shows knowledge and proficiency in college-level math.

And by the way, submit the French score too.

Don’t submit both math scores - they are considered the same subject. It would be like sending French and French with Listening. Send the Math 2. Since the French is the third test, I would submit that as well.

Actually, “optional” in this case means optional. My D17 got a 740 on the Math II but never submitted the score. She was accepted.

Agree with the other posters about just sending Math II. The percentiles aren’t really relevant because it’s a select group of students taking this test (a perfect 800 was only the 80th percentile when my D took it because a good 20% or so ace the test).

Thank you all for your input. I am going to submit the Math 2 and French scores.
