Sending AP Scores

Hello everyone. I was accepted to UC Berkeley and I submitted my intent to attend. I self reported my AP scores and now it’s time to send them in. I did not report the two 1’s I got and the UC Berkeley online portal says “Please submit your official scores for all Advanced Placement exams for which you have earned a score of 3 or higher.” When I go to college board, there is no option to select tests when sending AP scores. I also looked at one of the score withholding forms, but it says “I understand that AP Services must receive my form and payment by June 15 of the year in which I took the exam(s).” These two scores were from two previous years. What should I do? Is it bad if I just send all my scores?

Though the 1’s likely will not have an impact on your admission, College Board does have a procedure which allows you to exclude some prior scores from the report sent to your college: https://professionals.collegeboard.org/testing/ap/scores/reporting/for-students

Adding to the above and to make sure you use the correct form, go here http://media.collegeboard.com/digitalServices/pdf/ap/ap-score-witholding-form.pdf You need to submit the form by mid-June this year (actually earlier and you should likely do it now because Berkeley wants the scores before then) and you can request old AP scores to be excluded. You will be checking the second box relating to “New Colleges,” not the first one which contains that sentence you mention and applies to old scores only if you actually named Berkeley as a college to receive the scores when you took those prior tests.

While the above 2 posts are both correct, personally, I see no value in withholding the scores. Your admission will not be rescinded for the 1’s and since the AP score report goes directly to the registrar’s office, the admissions office will likely never see it anyway. I’d use the money you would have spent on withholding the scores to have some refreshing beverages  with your new roommates once you get to campus.

Thank you for putting my mind at ease. I decided to just submit all of them and save myself the trouble and money.

You submit the score to registrar office for credit purpose. By no mean a low score would have any effect on your admission or anything else.
