Now that AP scores have been released, do those of us in the class of 2020 need to pay CollegeBoard to officially send our scores to Cornell?
Assuming you’re trying to get credits, you do need to send in an official report. Be aware that depending on the department, certain AP’s may not be awarded credit, even if the University as a whole does accept them. This is generally true if the course pertains to your major (e.g. Calc for an engineering degree, or Chem in chemistry or food sci).
Yes. And beware that it takes a while to post those AP credits. In my DS’s case, he sent it twice and they never posted. So, be vigilant and follow up if you wish to use credits.
You’re not prohibited from using AP credit in all cases it’s a major requirement. The COE has high standards, usually requiring a 5, but you can skip almost all the intro science and a bit of intro math if you did all the AP sciences and Calculus BC.
