Sending First Quarter Grades to Fordham?

Hi. In the first quarter of my senior year, I got a 3.7 GPA and straight A's in every class besides one. The teachers who chose to comment posted very positive comments about me. On Monday, I asked my guidance counselor to send these grades to Fordham and they became "official" today as of today, 11/20. I gave her an envelope, so I'm assuming she's sending them by mail. However, I read this on Fordham's official website...

Can I submit my SAT or ACT scores if they were taken after the Early Action Deadline of November 1st?

We will be as flexible as possible, understanding that due to Score Choice, your earlier SAT scores will not be received until the release of your November test. We only have through November to review completed applications. As soon as your application becomes complete we will review it.

However, if your application becomes complete after our review period concludes at the end of November, we will defer you until Regular Decision.

If you have any other questions or would like to find out who your Fordham admissions representative is, please visit our website here.

Thank you for your interest in Fordham!

Sincerely,

So was it a good idea for me to send in my first quarter senior grades because they were good and it further showed my upward trend in grades, NOT because Fordham specifically asked for them? Or was it a mistake for someone who wants an answer by December 13 since they said anything received past November will move the application to regular decision? What are the chances this decision to ask my guidance counselor to send my first quarter grades (by mail) leads to me being deferred to the regular decision pool?

I REALLY want a decision -- hopefully of acceptance -- by December 13.
