Are you suppose to send your HS transcript after you submit your online application? Or do you send your transcript to UNC anytime, whether or not your online application is submitted? I'm asking because I want to get the transcript, counselor recommendation, and teacher recommendation done as soon as possible, but I'll probably need more time to finish my essays and perfect my application. I'll probably be done with my application by mid-October but I'd like to get the other stuff sent to UNC in September. Just wondering if that's possible.

You don't submit those things, your HS college counseling office and the teachers doing the recommendations do and the timing is irrelevant. As soon as the Admissions Office receives either your application, letters of recommendation, or official transcript they open your admission file. You just have to make sure they are sent with enough time to meet the UNC applications deadline.

Ok, thanks! That makes sense.

I didn't want to make another thread, but I have another question. I was wondering what I do with my AP scores that I got in the mail last month. I know on the application it says to self-report the scores, but do I have to send them to UNC as well (costing 15 or so bucks?). Or will they appear on my transcript?

Or do I just send them to colleges (hopefully unc!) after I get admitted?

You have to send them, they won't be on your transcript at most schools>

So do I send them before the application deadline, or after I (hopefully) get in? I'm asking this because it costs 15 bucks to send them to each college, so I'd rather just send them to the college I end up deciding on.

You only send them to the college you're going to be attending.

I'm pretty sure I just self reported mine. Yep. I had my SAT scores sent, and my counselor photocopied my AP scores onto my transcript. I'm 90% sure that I never actually had to have my AP scores in hand (even at CTOPS)
