Sending in ACT scores on Halloween for EA - Urgent Question

Hello,

I’ve been applying for EA at a few colleges this month, and while I have completed all other necessary aspects and sent most everything, one aspect of the application slipped my mind until the last second – sending my ACT scores.

So yesterday on Halloween I sent all of my ACT scores electronically, and I want to know if colleges will still consider my application if they don’t get to filing my ACT score report until after the deadline.

For context, I am applying to UMich, Miami University OH, Penn State, and Virginia Tech for this deadline.

If they are strict on this, is there a way for me to call in and alert them that the scores have been sent electronically? Additionally, what would happen if they didn’t – would my application be entirely denied or would it be considered for RD?

Most colleges give a small grace period for things out.of your control. UMich, however, is not one of them. If your scores are not there today, based upon past years, they move your application to RD. You can check with them to see if they’ve arrived, but in the past, they have not been accommodating if the scores are not there.

Do you know, by chance, how long it takes for them to receive the ACT? Some colleges publish how often they check ACT online score reports but UMich hasn’t seemed to publish that info. I’ve sent it and it should be with the colleges, it’s just up to them to check for it.
