So, I already submitted my REA application to stanford (nov 1) but the organization that I founded just received a merit award from my country’s Red Cross. I was wondering if I should email them telling them about this or not, especially because I already emailed them once before (3 weeks ago to correct a couple of mistakes)? Also, decisions are out in a week so I’m not sure if they’ve already looked at my application or not. Thank you!
Was the award substantial? Like some kind of national recognition? Are you specifically cited in the award? If so,I would email but make it brief and attach some kind of proof.
@Lindagaf I mean, it’s not a common award so I guess it’s kinda special but it’s not big enough to be in the newspaper or anything lol. And my name isn’t specifically on it, but it was sent to me because I founded the organization.
I am thinking at this point, their list is pretty firmed up. I don’t think notifying them of this will tip a scale in either direction. As in, I can’t imagine it would annoy them so much that they would pull you out of the accepted pile if you are fortunate enough to be in there, but neither do I think they would take you out of the deferred pile either.
Okay, thank you!
